Details of the Assault

Overnight on May 2, the Shevchenkivskyi, Kholodnohirskyi, and Saltivskyi districts also came under fire. Fires broke out at two gas stations in the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi areas, igniting gas tanks and parked cars. Additionally, a fragment of a Shahed drone penetrated an apartment but failed to detonate.

During this attack, six people were injured. A 62-year-old man was hospitalized with blast wounds; his condition is initially assessed as moderate, and doctors are providing him with all necessary care. This assault underscores the persistent dangers faced by civilians in the region, highlighting the humanitarian toll of the ongoing war. The fires and destruction caused by the shelling emphasize the urgent need for enhanced security measures to protect non-combatants, as well as the broader challenges of sustaining daily life amid continuous military threats.

The ongoing conflict in Kharkiv has seen a rise in civilian casualties, as demonstrated by another recent incident where a drone strike targeted an apartment block, injuring multiple residents.
