Kharkiv and Chuhuiv Hit by Russian Drone Strikes, Leaving Casualties

Удар безпілотників по Харкову та Чугуєву: численні жертви на місцях атаки.

Drone Assault Targets Kharkiv and Chuhuiv

Russian attack drones struck the cities of Kharkiv and Chuhuiv in the early hours of March 12. Impacts were recorded in two districts of Kharkiv: Nemyshlianskyi and Kyivskyi. The assault was carried out using Iranian-made 'Shahed' type drones. These strikes are part of a wider pattern of attacks on Ukraine's second-largest city, which lies close to the Russian border.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on the aftermath, with emergency services dispatched to the sites to assess the situation and provide assistance. This marks the second such attack in two days:

  • A 54-year-old man was killed in Chuhuiv the previous day.
  • Two women were wounded after a strike hit a residential area.

Local authorities continue to work on eliminating the consequences of the attacks and ensuring the safety of the population.

Impact on the Civilian Population

The escalation in the region underscores the continuation of hostilities and their direct toll on civilians. The persistent threat from drone attacks endangers residents and complicates local government efforts to restore a semblance of normal life. Cooperation between state services and local agencies remains critical for providing urgent aid to victims and maintaining security in the affected urban areas.
