Reduction of the activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in border regions

According to the speaker of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko, Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have become less active at the border, including in the Sumy region.

'Currently, the activity of the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance groups has significantly decreased. We do not record such a large number of operations, although earlier the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance groups were quite active, especially within the Sumy region,' Demchenko noted.

The information about the decrease in the activity of the SRG does not indicate an absence of threats, since this year such groups were detected in Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions, indicating a possible activation in the future.

Constant shelling at the border

The situation at the border with Russia remains tense due to constant shelling in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. According to Demchenko, the enemy uses various weapons, including aviation, to escalate the situation.

'Most of the shelling within the Sumy region, the enemy continues to use everything they have, including aviation, dropping guided aerial bombs, launching unguided aerial rockets,' he reported.

Despite the decrease in activity of sabotage and reconnaissance groups, Ukrainian border guards remain vigilant, controlling the border with Russia.

Ukrainian border guards recorded a decrease in the activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in various border regions, but vigilance should not be lowered due to constant shelling and the potential threat from the enemy.
