Drone Strike Hits Bohodukhiv

A Russian drone attack targeted a private residence in the city of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv region, causing a fire. Preliminary reports indicate that three children may be trapped under the rubble of the destroyed house. It was later reported that a man may also be buried in the debris. This attack is part of a wider pattern of strikes on civilian areas in Ukraine, which have escalated in recent months.

The attack resulted in casualties, including a 35-year-old pregnant woman who is receiving necessary medical care. Emergency services from the State Emergency Service, medical personnel, and canine units are working at the scene, and a search and rescue operation is ongoing.

Further Attacks Across the Region

In the early hours of February 9, Russian forces also attacked other areas of Kharkiv region with drones. One strike on a settlement in the Malodanylivka community killed a woman and a child, with other casualties reported. These attacks highlight the ongoing threat to civilians in regions close to the front lines.

This assault was part of broader Russian military actions, which included another drone attack on the night of February 11 targeting an infrastructure facility in the regional center of Zaporizhzhia. The situation in the region remains tense, with rescue services working at the various sites to minimize the consequences of the attacks.

Attacks on civilian objects in Ukraine, including residential buildings and infrastructure, continue to cause significant alarm among the population and the international community. The rising number of civilian casualties, including children, underscores the severity of the humanitarian situation in the region. Rescue operations and providing medical aid to the injured remain a priority for local authorities and emergency services.
