Capital hit by drone assault
Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kyiv on September 3, leaving six people injured. Four of the wounded were taken to hospital, among them a 12-year-old girl. Mayor Vitali Klitschko shared the details of the attack's aftermath in a Telegram post.
Damage across the city
In the Darnytskyi district, debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle fell onto a road, damaging two cars. In the Holosiivskyi district, drone fragments reportedly landed within a residential complex and next to a roadway. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris came down in the courtyard of a private house, damaging a vehicle but causing no fire.
The assault on Kyiv highlights how the ongoing Russian war continues to put civilians at risk. The injuries, including to a child, show how vulnerable ordinary residents are and underline the need for stronger protective measures. The episode may also fuel fresh debate about international backing for Ukraine against Russian aggression.
