Damaged historic synagogue in Odessa
During a nighttime attack by Russian drones, the historic synagogue 'Nachlas Eliezer', located in the Peresyp area, was damaged in Odessa. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Asman.
This holy building, constructed in the late 19th century, served as a place of prayer, hope, and spiritual strength for the Odessa Jewish community – noted Asman. He emphasized that the war has affected not only people but also historical memory and sacred places.
The Chief Rabbi of Odessa, Avraham Wolf, confirmed the synagogue's damage. According to him, despite the strike, the Jewish community of Odessa intends to remain in the city and continue its activities.

Fires in Odessa due to drone attacks
We remind you that on the night of August 4, the Russian terrorist army attacked the Odessa region with strike drones. As a result of the impacts, large fires broke out, which were promptly extinguished by rescuers. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the State Emergency Service.
Emergency services emphasized that the most significant destruction occurred in the radio market area - the fire destroyed dozens of trading pavilions where electronics and household appliances were located. A large fire was also extinguished in an inactive dormitory.
