Russian Drones Strike Kryvyi Rih Apartment Block and Infrastructure Site

Внаслідок атаки російських дронів у Кривому Розі постраждали житлові будинки та об'єкти інфраструктури.

Kryvyi Rih Targeted in Overnight Strike

During a nighttime assault on March 6, Russian attack drones directly hit a nine-story residential building and an infrastructure facility in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih. Rescue operations and firefighting efforts are currently underway. The city is also establishing emergency coordination centers to provide aid to victims.

The attack occurred at two separate locations. According to Oleksandr Vilkul,

"Shahed drones scored direct hits on a nine-story building and an infrastructure enterprise at two different sites."
Emergency services are working actively at the scenes, and the rescue operation continues. Information on potential casualties is not yet available. This strike is part of a sustained Russian campaign targeting Ukrainian civilian areas far from the front lines.

Emergency Aid Centers Established

To coordinate assistance for victims, the city has opened two emergency headquarters. One is being set up at a school in the Saksahanskyi district, and another near the executive committee building in the Dovhyntsivskyi district. Oleksandr Vilkul stated that

"Construction materials will arrive within 40 minutes. Applications for material aid from the city are being accepted. Municipal crews are being deployed."
Authorities have assured residents that "no one will be left without help."

This attack underscores the persistent threat faced by Ukrainian cities amid the ongoing war. The mobilization of rescue services and local authorities to provide aid demonstrates their readiness to respond to emergencies. The opening of coordination centers indicates the local administration's efforts to manage the aftermath swiftly and ensure support for affected residents.
