School Targeted by Russian Forces in Sumy
In Sumy, Russian troops launched an attack on a school, causing extensive damage to the building. Around 40 students were sheltering inside at the time of the strike and reportedly escaped unharmed. The assault occurred at approximately 3:35 PM, when four KAB precision-guided bombs hit the city center. The attack resulted in two fatalities, including a 16-year-old girl, and left six others wounded, among them three children.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the incident: 'All emergency services are currently operating at the site of the Russian airstrike in Sumy. Four KAB bombs struck the heart of the city, directly hitting a school where classes were in session. I am grateful to the teachers and school leadership: the children and staff were in shelter, and around 100 individuals were evacuated promptly. Damage was also recorded in the private residential sector. Unfortunately, two people have died, and my condolences go to their families and loved ones. Six people were injured, including three children.'
