Kyiv Region: Russian Troops Target Poultry Facility in Boryspil District

A Russian military strike hit a poultry farm located in the Boryspil district of Kyiv region, causing a fire inside the building. At the time of the blaze, approximately 16,000 birds were housed at the facility.

Thanks to the swift response of firefighters, 15,000 birds were rescued from the flames. Although the fire damaged a portion of the farm's infrastructure, the timely intervention prevented a far greater loss of livestock.

The Impact of Russian Military Aggression

This attack highlights the escalating aggression by Russian forces, who continue to target civilian infrastructure. Strikes against poultry farms and other agricultural enterprises pose significant risks to regional food security, as they result in both material damage and the loss of vital livestock resources.

Events like this emphasize the critical need to safeguard local agricultural operations amid ongoing conflict. Protecting such facilities is essential to maintaining food supply chains and supporting the resilience of affected communities.

This incident is part of a troubling pattern, as evidenced by a recent attack on a food processing plant in Odesa just two days prior, which resulted in significant damage to the facility. Such assaults on agricultural infrastructure not only threaten immediate food production but also raise concerns about long-term food security in the region.
