Situation in Hrabovske
Russian military units have entered the village of Hrabovske, located in the Sumy region, but their advancement into the territory of Ukraine has failed. Currently, control over the settlement is exercised by the Russian occupying army.
Hrabovske is located directly on the border with Russia, which makes it strategically important. According to information, about 100 occupiers have entered the village, but Ukrainian defense forces continue to resist. As Andriy Demchenko noted:
“They are not succeeding because all components of the Defense Forces and the Armed Forces and the State Border Guard Service are not allowing the enemy to do this.” - Andriy Demchenko
Aggressive actions of the occupiers
Moreover, it is noted that the Russian army has taken 52 people from Hrabovske to Russia. This indicates a continuation of aggressive actions by the occupiers; however, as Demchenko emphasizes, the situation remains under the control of Ukrainian forces.
The situation in and around Hrabovske underscores the importance of strategic settlements on the border with Russia, as well as the active resistance of Ukrainian forces, which are trying to prevent further advancement of the occupiers. The transportation of civilians may indicate attempts by Russian troops to strengthen control over the territory, but Ukrainian military forces continue to actively fight for the restoration of control over their land.
