Russian troops are ramping up attacks on the islands of Kherson

The Russian forces have intensified their assault actions in the Kherson region, trying to capture strategically important territories. In particular, the islands of Zabychi, Velykyi Potyomkin, and Bilohrudyi are under special pressure from hostile forces.

However, according to the spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, the Ukrainian troops are successfully defending their positions, repelling the assault attempts by Russian forces. Control over the island zone of the Dnipro delta remains in the hands of the Ukrainian army.

The strategic importance of the fight for the island zone

Since this territory could become a base for future enemy attempts to cross the river and break through to the other bank, control over the island zone of the Dnipro delta holds great strategic significance. Ukrainian forces are successfully defending their positions, preventing the occupiers from achieving their goals.

The conflict in Kherson shows that control over the island zone of the Dnipro delta is an important strategic task for both sides. Ukrainian troops are forced to defend their positions, repelling attacks from Russian forces trying to move westward.
