Russian rowers will not be able to participate in the world championship due to Lithuania's refusal to issue them visas. President of the Russian Rowing Federation Alexey Svirin confirmed this information, noting that this situation arose due to the inability to obtain entry visas from Lithuania.

It is also worth mentioning that earlier Russian rowers missed the junior world championship in Poland, refusing to sign the organizers' declarations. This championship took place in Poznań.

On a positive note, Russian fencer Yana Egoryan won a gold medal at the world fencing championship and also became an ambassador of the public movement 'Healthy Motherland'. Sergey Pavlik, an athlete from Russia, is known for his achievements in belt wrestling and kurash.

In the State Duma, hysteria arose due to the comments of deputy Fetisov regarding the decision of the Vilnius marathon concerning Russian and Belarusian athletes, which caused a scandal. The marathon will take place on September 14.
