Targeted Assault on Energy Workers in Odesa Region
In the Odesa region, a Russian drone deliberately attacked a DTEK energy crew’s vehicle, resulting in the death of one worker and injuring another. The wounded electrical technician is currently receiving medical treatment. This assault occurred shortly after an air raid alert was issued, as the crew’s vehicle was departing a substation. Despite the alert, the hostile drone altered its course specifically to strike the vehicle.
Continuous Strikes on Civilian and Critical Infrastructure
Throughout the day, enemy forces launched intense attacks targeting both civilian and essential infrastructure across Odesa. These assaults damaged a key infrastructure facility and a production-warehouse building. Three people sustained injuries during the bombardment. Firefighters quickly extinguished the resulting fires, while law enforcement agencies are actively documenting these acts as war crimes committed by Russia.
“Today in Odesa region, a Russian drone attacked a DTEK crew vehicle. Sadly, one of our colleagues was killed and another wounded,” stated the DTEK Group.
The Odesa Regional Military Administration confirmed that although the energy workers’ vehicle had left the substation, the enemy drone intentionally changed its trajectory to target the car.
This incident highlights the worsening conflict and the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure, endangering lives of those performing vital societal roles.
