Emergency Crew Attacked by Russian Drone in Nikopol District

Russian forces struck a fire and rescue vehicle with a drone in the Myrivska community of the Nikopol district. The attack occurred in the morning while the emergency crew was en route to a populated area within the community. As they traveled, their vehicle was hit by an unmanned aerial vehicle.

The assault left a 23-year-old firefighter-driver injured. The victim has been taken to a medical facility for treatment.

This incident highlights the growing danger faced by civilian emergency services in conflict zones. Attacks on first responders not only risk lives but also hinder the delivery of critical aid to affected populations. As military operations intensify, ensuring the safety of rescue teams—who perform essential wartime functions—becomes increasingly urgent.

The recent attack on the emergency crew in the Dnipro region is not an isolated incident, as similar threats have emerged across Ukraine. For instance, a fire station in the Zaporizhzhia region was also targeted, emphasizing the perilous conditions first responders face daily.
