Drone attack on Lviv
On January 15, 2026, a Russian drone attacked Lviv, hitting a playground on Stepan Bandera Street, near the Bandera monument. As a result of the strike, no one was injured; however, the shockwave affected a tractor driver who was clearing snow in the area. According to the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, the tractor driver did not sustain serious injuries.
Situation in the city
As a result of the attack, the streets of Metropolitan Andrey and Sheptytsky have been temporarily closed in Lviv. Private and public transport, including trolleybus routes No. 27, No. 32, and No. 38, are not operating. The situation at the scene is under the control of local services, which are monitoring safety.
This attack occurred against the backdrop of a tense situation in Ukraine, as on January 14, the Russian army also attacked a gas station in Sumy. The mayor noted that such incidents highlight the need to strengthen security measures to protect the civilian population.
