The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke about the Russian general who reported to Putin on the capture of the city of Kupiansk and went missing after a counterattack by Ukrainian forces. According to information provided by «Glavkom», Zelensky learned about this in an interview for Polish media.

The president emphasized that the situation on the battlefield remains tense and noted that Russia had previously falsely reported control over this city. He also pointed out that the general who reported on the capture of the city is now missing.

«We saw the video of the general talking about their capture... our Armed Forces control Kupiansk. Later, this general was found dead, - informed Zelensky.

According to data that emerged, Russian media circulated a video in which General Kuzovlyov reported to Putin about the capture of Kupiansk, even claiming that he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia. However, the information about the capture of the city, circulated by Russia, was, according to Zelensky, not true.

During the visit to Kupiansk by the President of Ukraine, events occurred that caused excitement among Russian propagandists. Photos and videos of Zelensky's information at the scene caused outrage among Russian military correspondents, who tried to dismiss these materials as manipulation.

As a result of the counterattack by Ukrainian forces in Kupiansk, the Russian general who reported on the capture of the city went missing. This situation underscores the tense atmosphere at the front and the information war that continues around events in Eastern Ukraine.
