Shelled Kryvyi Rih
On January 8, 2023, the Russian Federation shelled Kryvyi Rih, resulting in the death of a 67-year-old man and injuring seven others. The attack was carried out using Iskander-type ballistic missiles, two of which hit residential buildings.
The 67-year-old man died in a Kryvyi Rih hospital from injuries sustained during the shelling. An explosion severed his leg, and doctors fought for his life for over five days; however, the injuries were incompatible with life.
"Eternal memory. Sympathy to relatives and friends," said Oleksandr Vilkul, commenting on this tragedy.
Condition of the injured
Seven injured individuals are currently in medical facilities in moderate condition. Oleksandr Hanzha reported on their condition, noting that doctors are providing the necessary assistance to the victims. This shelling is yet another tragic episode in the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The shelling of Kryvyi Rih confirms the continuation of armed conflicts in Ukraine, where civilians have once again become victims of military actions. Such incidents highlight the importance of the international community in resolving crisis situations and protecting human rights, as well as reminding us of the need to ensure the safety of the population in wartime.
