Внаслідок атаки з боку Росії в Запоріжжі постраждали 10 осіб, серед яких дитина, зруйновано житлові будинки.

Zaporizhzhia Struck by Heavy Shelling

A heavy Russian bombardment of Zaporizhzhia has resulted in civilian casualties and significant damage to the city's infrastructure. The number of people injured in the attack has now reached ten, including:

  • an eight-year-old child,
  • five women,
  • and four men.

All of the wounded have received necessary medical care, with the majority being treated as outpatients.

Extensive Damage from the Assault

The attack damaged 19 apartment buildings, four private houses, and several non-residential structures. The shelling also disrupted the heating supply to more than 500 homes across three of the city's districts. Emergency rescue operations have concluded, and all fires have been extinguished. Utility crews are now actively working on repairs, while specialists from district administrations are documenting the full extent of the damage.

This incident underscores the persistent volatility in the region and the severe consequences for civilians caught in the conflict.

Damage to critical infrastructure and the loss of heating during winter months are likely to create significant additional hardship for Zaporizhzhia's residents, requiring a major recovery effort to restore normal life in the city. The city of Zaporizhzhia, located near the front lines of the conflict, has been a frequent target of shelling since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
