Трагічні наслідки ракетного обстрілу Одеської області: загиблі та постраждалі.

Nighttime Missile Assault on September 12

During the early hours of September 12, 2026, Russian missile strikes targeted the Odesa region, resulting in 35 injured individuals, including a five-month-old infant. Rescue operations are ongoing, with two people still unaccounted for. The attack severely damaged a high-rise residential building in Odesa, setting apartments on fire from the 21st to the 23rd floor of a 25-story complex.

In Chornomorsk, the missile strike destroyed one residential building and caused damage to three others. A gas pipeline was also hit, triggering a fire in one of the homes. According to the State Emergency Service (DSNS), five people were injured in Chornomorsk, four of whom are children. Rescue teams managed to save 13 people, including two children.

By around 10:00 AM, the total number of injured in the Odesa region reached 23, with seven—including a child—hospitalized. More than 80 DSNS rescuers are involved in managing the aftermath. The Russian forces launched the cruise missile attacks from the Black Sea waters.

Strikes Hit Other Areas as Well

Alongside Odesa, Russian forces also attacked Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih during the night and morning of September 12. In Zaporizhzhia, two civilians were killed in strikes targeting residential neighborhoods, with one house completely destroyed and four people wounded. In Kryvyi Rih, one person died and two were injured following ballistic missile attacks from multiple directions.

Ukraine's air defense units successfully intercepted the majority of incoming enemy aerial threats, including 129 Shahed attack drones and drone simulators. Despite this, the security situation remains critical, and search-and-rescue efforts continue.

“Five people were injured, including four children,” confirmed the DSNS.

These attacks are part of the ongoing military conflict severely impacting Ukraine’s civilian population. The destruction of homes and loss of civilian lives highlight the escalating nature of the hostilities and emphasize the urgent need to support the country’s defense forces. Local authorities and emergency services continue prioritizing rescue missions and assistance to the affected communities.

The recent missile strikes in the Odesa region are part of a broader pattern of attacks across Ukraine. Notably, similar assaults were reported in Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih, highlighting the escalating violence and the urgent need for enhanced security measures in affected areas.
