Attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Russian forces struck a gas station in the Shyrokiv community of Kryvyi Rih district on August 3, killing three people and wounding six others. One of the dead was a child of eight. All six injured were taken to hospital.
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said the hit sparked a blaze that firefighters later brought under control. The wounded are in the following condition:
- A 49-year-old man is in serious condition.
- Men aged 53, 46, and 20 have moderate injuries.
- Women aged 51 and 60 have moderate injuries.
The gas station and nearby cars were also damaged.
What Happened in Other Districts
On the same day, Russian troops attacked the city of Dnipro, damaging buildings but causing no casualties. Drones also targeted the Nikopol district, starting fires in private homes in Nikopol, Marhanets, and Pokrov communities; there were no reported casualties there.
In an earlier attack on July 31, Pavlohrad was hit, setting a shopping complex on fire and injuring people. The situation across Dnipropetrovsk Oblast remains tense, and residents continue to bear the consequences of the hostilities.
The latest attack underscores the ongoing danger faced by civilians in the region. Russian strikes are still inflicting heavy civilian casualties and damaging infrastructure, and the need for international attention to Ukraine's humanitarian situation stays urgent.
