The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court supported the decision to announce the search for the former deputy director general of the 'Ukroboronprom' company. This employee is accused of embezzling nearly 3.5 million hryvnias from two state enterprises.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office stood by their position, and now the search for the former deputy director general of the company has been announced internationally. The Appeals Chamber demands that he return 3,404,000 hryvnias as bail.
Preventive Measure in the Form of Detention
Immediately after his arrest, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for the former deputy director general of 'Ukroboronprom'. The court has the right to decide the further fate of the suspect after his delivery to the location of the pre-trial investigation.
The investigation revealed that between 2014 and 2016, the management of 'Ukroboronprom', together with a foreign company, evaded the law by entering into unjustified contracts and transferring funds without reason.
