Ukraine Under Threat

Ukrainian intelligence has obtained evidence that Russia is preparing a new massive attack. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took to social media to alert citizens to the danger, urging international allies to tighten sanctions against Moscow and expedite deliveries of air defense systems. He also held a call with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to discuss critical priorities for protecting Ukraine’s airspace.

Documents obtained by Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate confirm that Russia is gearing up for fresh missile and drone strikes. President Zelenskyy stated:

“We have intelligence information that Russia is preparing a new massive strike. It is vital that all our partners know what is happening—that Russia continues to rely on missiles and further war, not diplomatic steps.”
He emphasized the urgent need for additional sanctions pressure on Russia and the swift implementation of agreements with partners on supplying air defense systems.

Diplomatic Talks and Heightened Risks

Zelenskyy also spoke with Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker, focusing on protecting Ukrainian skies. The president underscored that

“anti-ballistic defense is a key priority,”
and confirmed that detailed proposals for a new European sanctions package are being prepared, along with additional measures to counter the circumvention of existing sanctions.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russia has warned foreign diplomatic staff to leave Kyiv. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova also issued threats of new strikes against Ukraine. These statements highlight the tense situation and the risk of further escalation.

This development underscores mounting regional tensions, as the threat of renewed Russian attacks demands urgent action from Ukraine and its international partners. The Ukrainian president’s calls for stronger sanctions and accelerated air defense deliveries reflect the critical role of global support in ensuring the country’s security. At the same time, Russia’s warnings and threats of new strikes signal Moscow’s readiness to continue its aggressive policies, which could lead to further intensification of the conflict.

The ongoing threat from Russia is further underscored by recent reports detailing a staggering number of attacks, including over 3,170 drones and 74 missiles launched against Ukraine in just a week. This alarming statistic highlights the urgency of the situation and the critical need for enhanced defensive measures.
