Russia currently has about 280 thousand contractors in the Armed Forces. This number may increase as the Kremlin plans to strengthen armament production. According to Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Russia recruits at least 35,000 new servicemen every month.

"Unfortunately, they have the ability to mobilize, and it is supported financially and by propaganda. Russia recruits at least 35,000 servicemen every month," he noted.

Skibitsky also noted the large payments to contractors, particularly two million rubles for signing the first contract. In addition, Russia plans to produce a certain number of precision missiles of various classes, such as "Iskander" and "Dagger," as well as expand drone production.

Russia is not considering reducing spending on heavy armament

A representative of the GUR reported that Russia does not intend to reduce spending on heavy equipment and armament, but rather increases investments in drones and missiles. He also noted that military intelligence is aware of the plans for the development of the armed forces of the Russian Federation for the next ten years.

"The Russians have outlined the main requirements for heavy armament, combat ships, aviation, missile systems. We know that they will modernize and create new aircraft to develop strategic and long-range aviation," he explained.

Previously, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, stated that it is not profitable for Russia to end hostilities, as peace will only come if "Ukraine becomes a region of Russia." He also mentioned the simulation of negotiations with the aim of misinformation and accusing Ukraine of violating peace talks.

To summarize, Russia plans to actively develop its armed forces by increasing the number of contractors and expanding armament production, including missiles and drones. The situation in eastern Ukraine remains tense, and the cost of the war for both sides could be extremely high.
