About 2 thousand soldiers from North Korea have died in military actions against Ukraine in support of Russia, reports 'Glavkom', citing Yonhap.

According to South Korean intelligence, North Korea may send another 6 thousand soldiers to Russia to support the military operations of the Ukrainian aggressors. An additional 13 thousand troops and weapons were sent from North Korea to Russia since October last year.

After six months of participating in military operations in Ukraine, the North Korean army has significantly enhanced its capabilities, particularly in the field of ballistic missiles, drones, and modern weapons production in cooperation with Russian scientists.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un awarded 'heroic' soldiers during a ceremony honoring participants of international operations who fought abroad on the side of Russia in the conflict with Ukraine.
