On Friday, October 24, public transport in Zaporizhia will temporarily change. On Peremohy Street, from 10:00 to 12:00, the trolleybus contact network will be disconnected. Due to this, some routes will operate according to a new scheme, reports the Zaporizhia City Council.
How trolleybuses will operate in Zaporizhia on October 24
The changes will affect route No. 9. During the indicated time, transport will operate in two directions:

one trolleybus with autonomous drive will transport passengers from BК ZAlK to Siedova Street;
-
the other — from Siedova Street to Zaporizhzhia Square via Sobornyi Avenue.
After the technical work on the network is completed, operations will resume in normal mode. The city authorities ask passengers to consider these changes when planning their trips and to follow the dispatcher’s instructions. Earlier the DniproHES was closed.
Transport development in Zaporizhia
The local authorities are also continuing to update the public transport system. Currently, the city is conducting a survey among residents regarding which routes need to be strengthened with modern European buses. At the same time, repair work is ongoing on the Arc Bridge — a strategic transport facility in Zaporizhia.
According to the city council, the main works are planned to be completed in the coming months, after which traffic for public and private transport will be fully restored on the bridge.
Such short-term restrictions, like disconnections of the contact network, are part of planned technical measures to improve safety and stability of electric transport in the city.
