Statement by NATO Secretary General

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Russia's aggressive policy towards Ukraine remains unchanged, emphasizing the support Moscow receives from China, Iran, and North Korea. According to him, Russia continues its war against Ukraine, and there are no reasons to believe that its aggressive and reckless behavior will change anytime soon. Rutte noted that Russia intends to maintain a course for long-term confrontation.

Importance of Supporting Ukraine

In this regard, NATO emphasizes the importance of continuing military assistance to Ukraine regardless of the timeline for the end of the war. Allies must strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, particularly in the area of air defense. Rutte pointed out the necessity of coordinating efforts to support Ukraine in the context of ongoing aggression from Russia and its allies.

These statements from the NATO Secretary General reflect the Alliance's concern regarding the security situation in Europe and the need to intensify support for Ukraine in the face of active aggression from Russia. Support from countries like China and Iran may indicate the expansion of geopolitical rifts, complicating the peaceful resolution of the conflict. Strengthening military assistance and defense capabilities for Ukraine becomes a crucial factor in ensuring stability in the region.
