Andriy Sadovyi, the mayor of Lviv, has revealed details about his income and spending habits. In a recent interview, he stated that his average monthly salary is 100,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (approximately $3,600). From this amount, he allocates 10% to the Catholic University and another 10% to the Unbroken University. The remainder covers various expenses, including tea, coffee, sweets, and meals for official delegations. He emphasized that he does not drink alcohol and rarely buys new clothes. Currently, he owns only one suit, which, according to him, he almost never wears.

The cost of some items he does wear is also noteworthy. His shirt costs roughly 2,000 to 3,000 hryvnias ($70–$110), and his shoes, which he has worn for three years, were purchased for 1,200 hryvnias ($45) from the Lutsk-based company Icos. He explained:
“I paid maybe 2,000 or 3,000 hryvnias for it. What else should I buy? The shoes are from Icos in Lutsk. They’re from last year. They sold them to me for about 1,200 hryvnias.” – Andriy Sadovyi
At the time of the interview, Sadovyi’s bank card balance stood at 40,000 hryvnias (around $1,400). “I think there’s probably about 40,000 hryvnias sitting there,” he said.
