The official website of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) has become inaccessible. As of 10:15 AM on March 13, 2026, the site is down, with no announcements regarding the cause or a restoration timeline posted on the UAF's official social media channels. This outage could disrupt communication between the association and its supporters, limiting access to official information.
World Cup 2026 Qualification Campaign
Despite the website issues, the Ukrainian national team continues its campaign to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across three North American nations. The team has advanced to the European playoff stage. To secure a spot at the tournament, Ukraine must win two single-elimination matches. First, they will face Sweden in a playoff semifinal on March 26, 2026. A victory there would set up a final against the winner of the Poland vs. Albania match.
Ukraine successfully navigated the initial group stage of European qualification. Their final group match was a decisive 2:0 victory over Iceland, a direct competitor for a playoff spot. Both teams entered the match level on points, meaning Ukraine needed a win to progress. The crucial goals were scored by Zubkov in the 83rd minute and Hutsuliak in the third minute of stoppage time (90+3).
