In Kyiv, two individuals have been accused of illegally seizing a plot of land in Podil, where they attempted to register ownership using forged documents. The prosecution is investigating these cases.
According to information, the actions of the suspects fall under criminal liability for unlawful occupation of land and the use of forged documents to legalize property obtained through criminal means.
Manipulations with forged documents
“Using fake documents, the suspects registered ownership of a building at Horiv Street, 17. Their goal is to acquire land in old Kyiv under non-competitive conditions,” the prosecution reported.
This plot is currently located in protected zones near a cultural heritage site next to the 'Kontraktova Ploshcha' metro station. The value of the property is estimated at over 11 million hryvnias. However, the city council denied the defendants ownership rights to this land.
As a result of the activities revealed by the prosecution regarding the two individuals and the city council's refusal of their attempts, the malefactors' anger was not justified, and their malicious intentions were discovered and stopped.
