Ukrainian Luge Sport at the 2026 Olympics
The Ukrainian luge sport has secured seven licenses to participate in the 2026 Olympics, which is an improvement compared to the previous cycle. The Ukrainian national luge team successfully completed the qualification cycle, which took place within the framework of the World Cup, consisting of five stages. The final stage of the competition was held in Winterberg, Germany.
This result is a significant achievement for Ukrainian athletes, as the country has obtained two more licenses than at the Beijing 2022 Games. Notably, for the first time in the history of Ukrainian luge, a license has been obtained in women's doubles, highlighting the progress and development of this sport in Ukraine.
Distribution of Licenses for Ukraine at the 2026 Games
Competitions on the Olympic track in Italy are scheduled for the period from February 7 to 12, 2026. The final list of participants will be formed by January 26, 2026.
- Men's Singles: 2 licenses (Anton Dukach, Andriy Mandzii)
- Women's Singles: 2 licenses (Yulianna Tunytska, Olena Smaga)
- Men's Doubles: 2 teams (Ihor Hoy and Nazar Kachmar, Daniil Martynovskyi and Bohdan Babura)
- Women's Doubles: 1 team (Olena Stetskyi and Oleksandra Mokh)
- Team Relay: 1 slot
