Court process regarding the unsubstantiated assets of the former head of the military unit
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office demands to recognize the assets of the former head of one of the military units as unsubstantiated, totaling over 2.9 million hryvnias. The prosecutor filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court based on materials from the State Bureau of Investigations.
According to the investigation, in 2024, the soldier's wife, at his request, purchased a residential house and a land plot in the Lviv region for 2.9 million hryvnias. However, an analysis of the official's and his family's income did not confirm the possibility of a legal purchase of this property.
In 2025, the house was sold. In light of this, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit to recover the value of the specified asset for the state, the legality of which raises reasonable doubt.
