DSNS sapper Serhiy Molchanov at the charity ball 'Brave Hearts'

DSNS sapper Serhiy Molchanov, who stepped on a mine and lost a leg in November 2022, performed at the charity ball 'Brave Hearts'. This event was organized by the rehabilitation center U+System. Serhiy Molchanov has served in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for 15 years and has been working as a sapper since 2018.

During the full-scale invasion, he carried out the duties of the head of the pyrotechnic work department, clearing the territories of Kharkiv from Russian explosive devices. Unfortunately, in November 2022, during a demining mission, Serhiy stepped on a mine and lost his leg. Currently, he is engaged in inspecting already cleared areas.

Indomitable spirit and courage

An impressive moment of his participation in the charity ball was the paso doble dance on a prosthesis, which highlighted the indomitable spirit and courage of Serhiy Molchanov.

This story is a powerful testimony to the resilience and bravery of people who, despite physical injuries, continue to fight for their country and inspire others.

The 'Brave Hearts' event not only draws attention to the problems of veterans and the injured but also emphasizes the importance of rehabilitation and social support for such individuals in society.
