Citizens Targeted to Register Starlink Terminals for Russia

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has reported instances of Russian operatives recruiting Ukrainian citizens to register Starlink satellite terminals. These terminals are then used by Russian forces to guide missile strikes against civilian cities, endangering innocent lives. Assisting the occupiers in this manner carries a severe penalty: life imprisonment.

Cracking Down on Collaborators

The SBU is actively combating Russian agents and detaining collaborators. Citizens who receive such recruitment offers can report them via the "Burn the FSB Agent" chatbot or through the contact numbers listed on the SBU's official website. Reports can be made by calling 0 800 501 482 or emailing callcenter@ssu.gov.ua.

This development highlights the critical need for public vigilance against enemy threats and active participation in countering information attacks and recruitment efforts. In wartime, where any citizen can become a target for propaganda or manipulation, the SBU encourages the population to cooperate and respond swiftly to such incidents. This collaboration is vital not only for national security but also for protecting the lives of those who could become victims of aggression. Starlink terminals, provided by SpaceX, have been crucial for Ukrainian military communications, making their illicit use by Russia a significant security concern.
