Discovery of new mobilization evasion schemes
The Security Service of Ukraine has identified and blocked three new schemes of evasion from mobilization, detaining four organizers of these illegal actions. Law enforcement conducted an investigation, which revealed cases of illegal transportation of individuals across the state border and the sale of forged documents.
Details of the schemes
- One of the schemes was discovered in Volyn, where a long-haul driver offered conscripts a way to leave for the European Union illegally.
- Another scheme was organized by two 18-year-old residents of Bukovina, who were involved in the international trafficking of conscripts.
- In Odesa, the head of the neurology department was arrested for selling fake disability certificates.
The suspects have already been notified of suspicion under parts 3 of Article 332 and part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offenders face up to nine years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. These actions by law enforcement indicate an active fight against mobilization evasion schemes and ensure legality in the country.
The detection and blocking of such schemes underscore the seriousness of the mobilization situation in Ukraine, especially under the ongoing conflict. Law enforcement actions are aimed at preventing illegal departures of conscripts and highlight the importance of upholding the law in society. This case may also serve as a signal to other potential offenders that illegal actions will not go unnoticed by the state.
