Ukrainian Security Service Strikes Russian Facility Producing Fuel for X-55 and X-101 Missiles

Служба безпеки України вразила російське підприємство, що виготовляє паливо для ракет Х-55 та Х-101.

Attack on the Redkino Research Plant

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has targeted the Redkino Research Plant in Russia's Tver region, a facility that manufactures rocket fuel components for the X-55 and X-101 cruise missiles. A drone assault by the 'Alpha' Special Operations Center triggered a major fire at the plant. These long-range missiles are frequently used by Russia in strikes against Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

Satellite imagery from the Firms service confirms an active, large-scale blaze on the premises, indicating significant damage from the attack. The Redkino plant specializes in producing 'Decilin-M' fuel for the missiles, along with fuel additives for diesel and aviation kerosene.

International Sanctions and Strategic Actions

This facility is already under international sanctions imposed by the United States, the United Kingdom, and several other nations. This is not the first such strike; the SBU previously hit another Russian plant in Tver Oblast involved in making fuel components for the same X-55 and X-101 missiles. These operations highlight a focused Ukrainian effort to degrade the infrastructure supporting Russia's military capabilities.

Strikes on plants producing critical missile fuel components represent a strategic shift by Ukraine to weaken the enemy's war machine by targeting its logistical backbone. Damaging such key infrastructure could substantially impact Russia's ability to sustain combat operations. As the conflict continues, these actions may also influence diplomatic dynamics and bolster international support for Ukraine's defense against aggression.
