Detection of fragments of the ballistic missile 'Oreshnik'
The Security Service of Ukraine reported the discovery of fragments of the Russian ballistic missile 'Oreshnik', which was used to strike the Lviv region on the night of January 8 to 9, 2026. The fragments have the status of physical evidence and are being prepared for examination.

According to local authorities, a critical infrastructure facility was affected by the attack. Maksym Kozytskyi noted that the consequences of the strike require urgent response. Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the occupiers used the 'Oreshnik' ballistic missile during the attack.
