Ukrainian military counterintelligence continues to catch Russian spies among its military personnel. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, since the beginning of the war with Russia, 68 agents of the Russian special services have been revealed, operating among the employees of the Armed Forces.

In 2025 alone, 19 spies from Russia were detained, ten of whom have already received actual prison sentences, while seven were sentenced to 15 years behind bars. Among the convicted were a major, a commander of a special operations unit, and a commander of an artillery division who provided secret information to Russian special services.

Four agent networks have also been uncovered in various regions of Ukraine that facilitated attacks by the occupiers and recruited new agents. In Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, intelligence officers have been detained for gathering data on military facilities.

According to the SBU, in 2025, 77 traitors who switched to the side of the occupiers were convicted, and over 270 attempts at illegal transportation of combat equipment from the front were detected and stopped.

The military counterintelligence of the SBU continues to successfully fight against Russian agents among Ukrainian soldiers.

The efforts of the Ukrainian special services are aimed at protecting the country from hostile activities and maintaining national security.
