It turned out that the soldier was recruited by the occupiers immediately after being mobilized into the appropriate division for his pro-Russian comments on social media.
The main task of the agent was to adjust Russia’s airstrikes on the Defense Forces in Dnipropetrovsk region. He provided the Russian special services with geolocations of military units where he underwent military training and collected coordinates of adjacent units for missile strikes. During the search, a phone was seized containing evidence of working for the enemy. The investigative authorities notified the offender of suspicion of treason, and he faces life imprisonment.
The incident shows that espionage and crimes against the state can become a reality in Ukraine as well, so the work of the special services places great importance on studying potentially dangerous individuals and their activities.
