The SBU detained a woman who attempted to blow up a café in central Kyiv and kill many people. She planned to leave two homemade explosive devices in the café with a total power of almost 1.5 kg of TNT. Russian special services planned to detonate both devices in the evening; the agent was recruited under 'a foreign flag.'

The SBU emphasizes! Representatives of the Security Service do not hire people by phone, do not offer to commit illegal actions, and do not set dubious tasks. The SBU operates exclusively within the framework of current legislation in Ukraine.

Employees of the SBU detained the suspect 'red-handed' during her attempt to approach the café with hidden explosive devices in her bag. The investigation continues, and the SBU is establishing how the agent obtained the explosive devices. The prosecution of former president Poroshenko will take place under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

The SBU employees timely identified and stopped a terrorist act in Kyiv, thereby preventing human casualties and consequences for the city. The investigation into the event continues and aims to establish all the circumstances and details of the case.
