Kyiv region has received another 30 modern buses from the French region of Île-de-France. Some of the vehicles will be handed over to communities, while others will serve routes to Kyiv. For the residents of the region, this means more stable connections to work, education, and government institutions. This is reported by the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
Buses for Kyiv region will be distributed among communities and routes to the capital
The new batch of transport in Kyiv region was welcomed by the head of KODA Mykola Kalashnyk, the vice president of the Île-de-France region for transport Grégoire de Lastery, and the French ambassador to Ukraine Gaël Vésier.
Out of the 30 buses, ten will be handed over to the communities of the region for the development of municipal transport. Another twenty will operate on intercity routes connecting populated areas of the region with Kyiv.
KODA emphasizes that the transport is equipped with modern facilities for safe and accessible transportation. The buses are equipped with ramps for passengers with reduced mobility, navigation systems, and modern safety equipment.
The recovery of transport in Kyiv region continues after losses due to the war
According to Mykola Kalashnyk, the region continues to systematically restore transport connections after the destruction and losses caused by Russian aggression.
«Today, this is no longer about temporary solutions, but about forming a high-quality, modern, and accessible transportation system in the communities,» said the head of Kyiv ODA.
He separately thanked the president of the Île-de-France region Valérie Pécresse and the French partners for supporting Kyiv region during the war. Kalashnyk also noted the role of Ukrzaliznytsia and its head Oleksandr Pertsovsky in organizing the swift delivery of transport.
France has already delivered 60 buses to Kyiv region
The current delivery is the second under a large-scale assistance project. Overall, the French region of Île-de-France plans to transfer 260 buses to Kyiv region.
The first batch of transport was received by the region on December 31, 2025. After the last delivery, Kyiv region already has 60 buses from the planned amount.
