Rostislav Novitsky, center of the Ukrainian national team, signed a contract with the Latvian club VEF for the new season. This was reported by the FBU citing the 'Hlavkom' portal.
In the past season, playing for the Latvian team Valmiera, Novitsky averaged 12.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, which was above the average statistic. The center also recorded 1.9 blocks per game, which became the best indicator in the league.
Illya Sidorov also joined VEF for the upcoming season. Last year, Issuf Sanon and Vyacheslav Bobrov played for this club, who have not yet decided on their future with the team.
In February of this year, Rostislav Novitsky made his debut in the national Ukrainian team and was called up for the pre-qualification matches of the World Championship in August. The coaching staff has already formed an extended squad of the national team for the upcoming competitions.
The signing of Rostislav Novitsky with the Latvian club VEF will allow him to continue his development in a high-class championship and help strengthen the team for the upcoming season.
