The average calculated salary of employees in central executive government agencies in June was 66,840 UAH. This is almost 7 thousand UAH more than a year ago, although seasonal vacation payments influenced this figure. This was reported by Economic Truth citing data from the Ministry of Finance.
Public servants' salaries in June: Why they increased
The Ministry of Finance explained that the traditional increase in payments in June is related to the vacation period. Workers receive health improvement assistance, so the average calculated amount for the month is higher than the usual salary.
In June, there were 165.6 thousand people employed in government agencies. Of these, 108.6 thousand were at the central level along with territorial subdivisions, 23 thousand worked in local state and military administrations, and another 34 thousand in the judiciary.
The Ministry of Finance updates its dashboard monthly, showing the number of employees and salary levels in the public sector, excluding the security and defense sector.
The highest salaries in central governmental agencies
The highest average salary in June was credited to employees of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities - 107.2 thousand UAH. The National Commission regulates the energy and utility sectors.

These figures show the accrued amount before tax deductions, not the money that employees receive on their cards.
Judges' remuneration in June reached 446 thousand UAH
Separately, the Ministry of Finance released data on judges' remuneration. In the Supreme and Constitutional Courts, the High Council of Justice, the High Qualification Commission of Judges, and the High Anti-Corruption Court, average payments ranged from 197.8 thousand to 446.7 thousand UAH.
The average calculated salary of employees of the secretariats of central judicial authorities was 71.46 thousand UAH. This is a separate category from the remuneration of the judges themselves.
It is worth noting that in Ukraine the minimum wage is twice less than in Moldova.
