Average salary in Ukraine decreased: where in July 2026 nearly 80 thousand UAH was paid

The average salary in Ukraine in July 2026 was 32,243 UAH. For the month, it decreased by 1.6%, however, the wage gap between regions and individual sectors remains significant. This is reported by Minfin citing data from the State Statistics Service.

In July, the highest pay was received by employees in the information and telecommunications sector - on average 78,716 UAH. The lowest average salary was in education - 20,237 UAH.

Average salary in the regions of Ukraine in July 2026: Kyiv remains the leader

The highest average salary among regions was recorded in Kyiv - 49,463 UAH. This is 17,220 UAH, or approximately 53%, higher than the national average.

Among the leaders is also Luhansk region with an average salary of 35,367 UAH and Kyiv region - 33,268 UAH.

The lowest average pay was received by employees of Chernivtsi region - 23,354 UAH. This is 8,889 UAH, or nearly 28%, less than the national average. In Kirovohrad region, the average salary was 23,532 UAH.

Salaries in Ukraine in July 2026: in IT and telecommunications, they paid 78,716 UAH

The largest gap is observed between different types of economic activities. The average salary in the information and telecommunications sector reached 78,716 UAH - approximately 2.4 times more than the average in the country.

In education, the average pay was only 20,237 UAH. Thus, employees in the information and telecommunications sector on average earned nearly 3.9 times more than educators.

Against the backdrop of a significant wage disparity, the issue of wage debts persists. As of August 1, 2026, the wage debt in Ukraine reached 3.8 billion UAH.

Recall that in Ukraine the minimum wage is half that of Moldova.
