It will be available for viewing until September 30 at Westwood Contemporary.

The project’s curation team also includes several prominent figures such as:

  • UNITED24 ambassador Alyssa Milano
  • Prince Harry
  • Stephen Fry
  • Ukrainian author Andriy Kurkov

Sharon Stone emphasized her commitment to this impactful project, which brings the harsh realities of the war in Ukraine directly to audiences in Los Angeles.

Other Noteworthy Developments in Ukraine

Beyond this exhibition, several significant events have taken place in Ukraine recently. In early September, actress Angelina Jolie visited children studying in underground educational spaces in Kharkiv, along with a dance studio and rehabilitation center in the Carpathian region. Ukrainian singer and producer TUCHA (Maria Tuchka) was prominently featured on the main Times Square billboard in New York City as part of Spotify’s EQUAL initiative. Additionally, young Ukrainian gymnast Oleksandra Paskal, who lost a leg due to a Russian missile strike, performed at Times Square to raise awareness of her personal tragedy.

This photo project is part of a broader series of cultural initiatives, which includes exhibitions such as the Kyiv metro photo installation and collages by Ukrainian artists displayed in New York. These projects collectively highlight the impact of the war on everyday life in Ukraine.

PostCode: Ukraine – Volunteer Diary serves as a vital platform for international support amid the ongoing conflict. The involvement of well-known personalities helps amplify awareness about the humanitarian crises resulting from the war. Initiatives like this not only show solidarity with the Ukrainian people but also underscore the importance of cultural exchange during times of hardship.

As the conflict in Ukraine continues to draw international attention, similar initiatives are emerging across the globe. For instance, the recent opening of the POLITE gallery's first exhibition in Lviv focuses on the poignant experiences of soldiers, further illustrating the war's profound impact on Ukrainian society.
