Aurika Rotaru Addresses Confusion with Her Sister
Aurika Rotaru has opened up about how people frequently mistake her for her famous sister, Sofia Rotaru. During walks, strangers often approach her, calling her by Sofia's name. She recalled:
'It used to happen very often when we are walking together—people say to me: Good day, Sofia Mikhailovna—and I am Aurika Rotaru.'
Aurika also confirmed that the sisters remain in regular contact:
'Of course, of course. We are sisters, we talk.'
Sofia Rotaru's Current Situation
Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Sofia Rotaru has been living a very private life. She gives no interviews and currently resides in the Kyiv region. In April, Aurika dismissed rumors that Sofia had left the country. It is also known that Sofia has no plans to return to the stage while the war continues. Aurika commented:
