The FIFA Council has elected Andriy Shevchenko and Kateryna Monzul to permanent committees

The President of the Football Association of Ukraine, Andriy Shevchenko, and the head of the UAF Referees Committee, Kateryna Monzul, have been appointed to FIFA's permanent committees. And not just like that, but according to new amendments to the statutes that were approved at the last FIFA Congress.

FIFA currently has a huge task of restructuring its committees to allow more associations to participate in the processes of selection and involvement of women in these committees. And now Ukrainian specialists have the chance to engage in such important activities.

Announcement of committee heads appointments

The FIFA Council, at its last meeting, appointed the heads, deputy heads, and members of the FIFA permanent committees for the next four years. Shevchenko was elected head of the Future of Football Committee, while Monzul is a member of the Women’s Football Stakeholders Committee. This is an important step for the development of Ukrainian football on the international stage.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian national team has shown good results in the qualifying matches for the World Cup, which only emphasizes the importance of our specialists' participation in such high-profile bodies like FIFA.
