Xi Jinping’s Historic U.S. Visit
Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in the United States for his first official visit in over a decade, meeting with President Donald Trump. This marks the third face-to-face meeting between the two leaders within a year. Trump personally welcomed Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, at Andrews Air Force Base, followed by a formal ceremony at the White House attended by 479 military personnel from all service branches.
As part of the visit, Trump is hosting a state dinner honoring Xi, inviting prominent American business leaders. Afterward, both leaders and their spouses will share tea at the White House and tour the National Archives. This visit builds on developments from Trump’s trip to Beijing in May, when the U.S.-China Trade Council was established.
