Ukraine’s Top Diplomat Speaks Out

Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, has issued a statement regarding Russia’s latest large-scale assault on the country, which involved at least 650 drones and missiles. The attack left at least four people dead and more than thirty wounded. Sybiha emphasized that these strikes deliberately targeted civilians, pointing to a systematic campaign of terror aimed at the Ukrainian people.

'Russia carried out yet another massive missile and drone attack against Ukraine tonight, using at least 650 drones and missiles while intentionally hitting civilian areas,' Andrii Sybiha

He further stated: 'This is not warfare—this is a deliberate terror campaign against our nation.' The minister stressed that Russia’s leadership must be held accountable for these war crimes, adding: 'All those responsible will be brought to justice.'

Call for Stronger International Action

Sybiha also noted that 'key EU decisions have already been unblocked and must now be implemented immediately and in full.' He warned that 'any delay only serves Moscow’s interests.'

According to him, the only proper response to Russian terror is maximum pressure, tougher sanctions, and expanded support for Ukraine to halt this aggression and restore security across Europe.

This massive bombardment marks another escalation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where civilians continue to bear the brunt of military operations. Sybiha’s remarks underscore the urgent need for continued international backing of Ukraine and decisive measures to counter Russian aggression. Given the current trajectory, further EU and global actions—through sanctions and military aid—could significantly shape events in the region.

In light of the recent escalation in hostilities, Sybiga's call for enhanced financial support and sanctions at the EU foreign ministers' meeting highlights the urgent need for a unified international response to counter Russia's aggression. His emphasis on immediate action reflects the critical need for sustained pressure on Moscow to protect civilian lives and restore stability in the region.
