Negotiations Between Ukraine and France

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga held telephone talks with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barro on January 6. During the conversation, they discussed the situation in Ukraine and the role of the Group of Seven in supporting the country.

Andriy Sybiga congratulated France on its presidency in the Group of Seven, noting that this is an important stage for international cooperation. The minister informed Barro about the situation on the front lines and the devastating consequences of Russian terror against civilians. Sybiga also thanked France for its leadership in strengthening Ukraine's defense and advancing efforts for a fair and lasting peace.

The Importance of International Support

These negotiations highlight the importance of international support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. The Group of Seven, as an international alliance, has significant potential to influence global decisions and policies regarding security and stability in the region.

Given France's active role, an increase in cooperation between participating states on defense and humanitarian assistance issues for Ukraine can be expected.
