Foreign Ministers Hold Phone Call

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Al-Safadi, held a phone conversation to discuss the situation in the Middle East and bilateral cooperation. Minister Sybiha expressed concern over Iran's attacks against countries in the region, stating that

"Ukraine condemns Iran's reckless attacks on regional states, which primarily harm civilians and risk further destabilization."

During the discussion, the ministers affirmed their solidarity, with Sybiha noting

"we stand in solidarity with Jordan and other nations affected by these actions."
He also thanked Jordan for its support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its vote in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution 'Principles for a Lasting Peace in Ukraine'. This diplomatic engagement highlights Ukraine's efforts to build international consensus while managing regional security concerns.

Ukraine-Jordan Cooperation

The two sides agreed to intensify political dialogue and maintain close coordination, including through further high-level contacts. 'We all strive for lasting peace and security – in Ukraine and in the Middle East,' Sybiha emphasized.

The call underscores the growing importance of international cooperation in the face of shared regional threats. The volatile situation in the Middle East, particularly Iran's activities, is a source of concern not only for Ukraine but for many nations, potentially affecting broader global stability. The decision to enhance political dialogue between Ukraine and Jordan may represent a significant step toward strengthening international security.
